Aurum Resources completes purchase of PlusOr Global

Aurum Resources has announced it has successfully completed the acquisition of Côte d’Ivoire mining specialist PlusOr Global.

This acquisition includes exploration permits covering the Boundiali gold project and mine development assets, including two man-portable hydraulic diamond drilling rigs. PlusOr already has two drilling rigs in operation at Boundiali and has drilled 29 diamond holes for 4,592 meters. Aurum plans to utilize the acquired drilling rigs for a drilling program of more than 7,000 meters, starting by the end of the year.

Boundiali gold project

Aurum believes that having its own drilling rigs on-site provides significant advantages, including reducing drilling costs by up to 65%, fast-tracking resource growth, and minimizing the need for additional capital raising.

Previous geological mapping and interpretation have identified multiple gold targets along a north-south trend. Three main targets include: Target 1: Testing an area with active artisanal mining along a 1,300m strike length. A 1,810m drilling program of 14 holes is planned. Target 2: Covering 1,700m of strike length in another area of active artisanal mining. A 4,765m drilling program of 33 holes is designed. Target 3: Investigating a north-south trend of mineralization with 1,300m of strike length in an area without identified artisanal workings. A 570m, four-hole program is planned.

The Boundiali gold project is considered significantly under-explored but located in a highly prospective gold region within the Boundiali greenstone belt. This belt also hosts other successful gold operations, such as Resolute Mining’s Syama gold operation and the Tabakoroni deposit in Mali.

Despite being under-explored, initial results from the Boundiali area show promise. Four reverse circulation holes have intersected gold mineralization, including notable intervals such as 22m at 1.06 grams per tonne and 9m at 1.79g/t of gold. Historic work has also identified extensive gold-in-soil anomalism.
