Atlantic Lithium’s subsidiary issued lithium licence in Ghana

Atlantic Lithium Limited and its subsidiary Green Metals Resources Limited has been granted prospecting licenses for the Bewadze and Senya Beraku areas in the Cape Coast Lithium Portfolio in Ghana. This is part of the company’s efforts to explore and develop lithium resources in the region, with a focus on the Ewoyaa Lithium Project.

Bewadze and Senya Beraku prospecting licenses cover areas of 6.93 km² and 82.11 km², respectively. The newly-granted licenses offer significant exploration potential, as little to no modern exploration has been conducted in these areas. The proximity of Bewadze to the historic Egyasimanku Hill occurrence, where spodumene pegmatites have been observed, adds to its prospectivity.

Mining Lease

Both licenses are crossed by high-voltage transmission lines and are located adjacent to the N1 Accra-Takoradi highway. Bewadze is within 48 km, and Senya Beraku is within 70 km from the Ewoyaa Project footprint. Extensive work programs are planned to evaluate the potential for lithium and associated minerals in the newly-granted tenure. The grant of these licenses follows the recent award of the Mining Lease for the Ewoyaa Lithium Project, indicating government support for Atlantic Lithium’s exploration and development efforts in Ghana.

Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity presented by the new prospecting licenses. He highlighted the prospectivity of Bewadze and its proximity to the Egyasimanku Hill occurrence.

The company aims to incorporate the newly-granted licenses into the Ewoyaa Project footprint, contingent on the success of exploration efforts. The company is also hopeful about the grant of other licenses still under application.
