Aton Resources releases sampling results from Semna-Zeno regional area

Aton Resources has issued latest results from surface sampling programmes at the Zeno and Semna regional target areas in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.
The sampling results from both areas have been impressive, as they have significantly expanded the known mineralisation area and provided valuable insights into the distribution of mineralisation and its structural controls. The Semna-Zeno regional area is considered a high priority target for the company.
A total of 106 selective grab samples were collected from Zeno and the Semna regional prospect areas. The Semna regional samples were taken in a wide and previously unsampled area southeast of the historic Semna gold mine, which has been subject to significant artisanal mining activities. On the other hand, the Zeno samples were taken from new artisanal workings where newly and/or more deeply exposed mineralised structures had been sampled at or near the surface.
Assay results
The assay results from the sampling campaign have been noteworthy. From the Zeno prospect area, 34 samples were collected, with several returning high-grade gold values, including 36.20 g/t Au, 15.30 g/t Au, and 14.15 g/t Au. Additionally, three more samples returned assays greater than 10 g/t Au, and a further three samples returned assays greater than 5 g/t Au.
Similarly, from the Semna regional prospect area, 72 samples were collected, and the assay results also included high-grade gold values such as 25.70 g/t Au, 16.55 g/t Au, and 15.20 g/t Au. Furthermore, four more samples returned assays greater than 10 g/t Au, and an additional six samples returned assays greater than 5 g/t Au.
The structural orientations and style of mineralisation observed at both the Zeno and Semna prospects are comparable to those found at the nearby Semna gold mine. Aton Resources is moving forward with its exploration and drilling plans. RC drilling has already commenced at the Semna area, and drilling at Zeno is expected to begin in the middle of August.
The company is focused on submitting its application for the mining license at Abu Marawat in the coming weeks, indicating progress in its development plans. Additionally, Aton Resources expressed satisfaction with its participation in the Egypt Mining Forum in Cairo, praising the Ministry of Petroleum and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority for organizing and hosting the event. They believe such forums will aid in the development of the mineral exploration and mining sectors in Egypt and look forward to future events.
