Epiroc, Managem partner for digitalisation Tizert mining project

Epiroc has announced a partnership with Managem to enhance the Tizert mining project in Morocco. The collaboration focuses on implementing advanced digital tools and real-time tracking solutions to create a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art copper mine. This approach aligns with Managem’s commitment to operational excellence and responsible mining practices.

Positioned as the largest underground mining operation in the region, the Tizert copper mine aims for an ambitious production target of 3.6 million tons per year (tpy), representing a transformative opportunity for both Managem and Morocco’s mining sector. The greenfield site is envisioned as a fully digitalized mine, ensuring optimized production, enhanced safety, and environmental sustainability.

Epiroc’s Solutions’ advantages include real-time tracking, rapid safety status assessments improve response times during emergencies, automation & integration and utilizes MQTT (Sparkplug) for seamless, real-time data flow across systems, supporting scalability and future growth.
