WearCheck expands into East Africa through TES partnership
Collaboration brings advanced condition monitoring and reliability solutions to Tanzania’s growing industrial sector
WearCheck has partnered with Tanzania-based Technical and Engineering Solutions to deliver an expanded range of reliability and condition monitoring services to customers across East Africa.
The partnership is already operational, with clients in Tanzania benefiting from a combined offering that integrates local expertise with global laboratory capabilities.
According to Juliane de Beer, the collaboration represents a strategic expansion into the region. “Through TES, we can now extend WearCheck’s specialist services into a whole new part of East Africa, which complements our WearCheck branch in Mozambique”.
Combining Local Expertise with Global Standards
While TES provides on-the-ground technical support in Tanzania, all samples are processed through WearCheck’s advanced laboratory infrastructure. This ensures that customers receive high-quality, globally recognised analysis, which is often essential for international insurance compliance and warranty validation.
The partnership enables industries in East Africa to align with international reliability standards, strengthening maintenance practices across key sectors such as energy and industrial operations.

Mary Mwanukuzi highlighted the expanded capabilities now available to clients. “In addition to oil and fuel analysis, we now offer a full suite of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) services using portable diagnostics, including on-site Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) for immediate follow-up on critical transformers, infrared thermography (IR), ultrasonic and acoustic inspections, power-quality analysis, vibration analysis and earth resistance and battery health assessments.”
She added that TES also provides specialised on-site electrical and mechanical diagnostics to complement laboratory testing, including advanced three-phase power quality analysis, stationary battery testing, acoustic imaging, and earth analysis.
Strengthening Industrial Reliability in the Region
TES serves customers in Dar es Salaam and across the broader Tanzanian market. Although the company is relatively new, it is backed by more than 30 years of experience in power plant engineering, with 14 years dedicated specifically to condition-based maintenance.
Mwanukuzi emphasised the importance of expertise in delivering quality solutions. “We are proud to share that our leadership team holds advanced Category I (CAT I) certifications in Infrared Thermography and Ultrasound (Mobius Institute) and Vibration Condition Monitoring (IRD Mechanalysis). This deep technical expertise ensures that every solution we provide is backed by industry-leading standards.”
By combining TES’s local presence with WearCheck’s global reputation, the partnership is set to enhance condition monitoring capabilities across East Africa, supporting improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and more efficient operations in the region’s expanding industrial landscape.
