From September 7–11, industry stakeholders, engineering experts, equipment suppliers and manufacturers gathered at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg for Electra Mining Africa 2026.
One of the highlights of the five-day event was the New Products and Innovation Awards.
Aimed at recognising innovation and engineering excellence, the awards are exclusive to Electra Mining Africa exhibitors showcasing new products and technologies that demonstrate how research, development and engineering expertise can be translated into practical solutions for industry.
“The New Products and Innovation Awards celebrate far more than individual products,” says Eric Bruggeman, CEO of SACEEC. “They recognise the commitment of manufacturers and technology companies to continuous improvement, engineering excellence and solving the practical challenges faced by industry. Electra Mining Africa takes place every two years. The next edition will take place in 2028.
