The Future of Mining Summit in Botswana set for June

The Future of Mining Summit, has been slated for 12th and 13th of June 2024. This initiative well-structured to address the complexities of the mining industry while also fostering collaboration and innovation for the benefit of Botswana’s economy and society.

The summit, which is being organised with the Botswana Chamber of Mines (BCM) in partnership Projects Magazine and Stanbic Bank’s Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP), will be held at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone Botswana.

Future of Mining Summit

The event is being supported by the government of Botswana through the Ministry of Minerals and Energy. It will have a lineup of speakers, including prominent figures from various mining companies, indicating a high level of engagement from industry leaders.

The thematic focus areas of the summit, ranging from technology and renewable energy to future skills and ESG, reflect the multifaceted nature of challenges and opportunities facing the mining industry today. It’s promising to hear that the summit aims not only to facilitate discussions but also to drive tangible outcomes, such as the production of white papers in collaboration with key stakeholders.
