Tanzania Mining & Investment Forum 2023 slated for 25th -26th October
This years’ Tanzania Mining & Investment Forum (TMIF) has been scheduled to take place 25th to 26th October 2023.
Hosted in Dar Es Salaam by the Ministry of Minerals of the United Republic of Tanzania, in collaboration with dmg events and Ocean Business Partners Tanzania, the event will be at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre.
Tanzania Mining & Investment Forum
The event aims to bring together key stakeholders from Tanzania, Africa, and the global mining community, including government representatives, ministers, CEOs, policymakers, and industry leaders. The Forum expects to attract over 2,000 participants from the various regions and will welcome 90 confirmed speakers.
The theme for TMIF 2023 is “Unlocking Tanzania’s Future Mining Potential,” emphasizing the importance of cooperation and strategies to harness the opportunities and advancements in the mining sector. Tanzania boasts significant deposits of critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements, which are vital for electric vehicles, renewable energy infrastructure, and other clean technologies.
The forum’s significance is underscored by the patronage of Hon. Anthony P Mavunde (MP), the Minister of Minerals from the Ministry of Minerals of the United Republic of Tanzania, signifying the government’s commitment to the mining industry’s growth and development.
TMIF 2023 provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and discussions that can drive the mining industry’s progress in Tanzania and beyond. It is an opportunity for stakeholders to explore investment possibilities, exchange ideas, and address challenges related to mining and investment in the region.
