Sanu Gold begins drilling programme at Daina Permit in Guinea

Sanu Gold Corporation has commenced a follow-up drilling program at its Daina gold exploration permit, situated in the Siguiri Basin of Guinea, West Africa. This initiative follows encouraging high-grade gold intercepts from the previous drill campaign, reported on January 21, 2025, along with recent trenching and geophysical findings.
The company has mobilized approximately 5,000 meters of reverse circulation (RC) and air core drilling across 50 to 60 planned drill holes. The objective is to further explore gold mineralization at the Daina 2 South discovery and assess its continuity towards the Daina 2 Main Zone. The program is also guided by recent trenching and geophysical data, which indicate promising potential between these two zones.
Drilling successes
Sanu Gold remains well-funded, with approximately $12.5 million in working capital to support ongoing exploration at its three gold projects in Guinea. A 143-line-km Gradient Induced Polarization (IP) survey was conducted across multiple targets, mapping resistivity and chargeability features indicative of gold-bearing structures.
This data aligns with recent drilling success at Daina 2 South, where the 51m at 3.1 g/t gold intercept corresponds with a geophysical high. Additionally, four trenches totaling 137 meters were completed at Daina 2, exposing mineralized quartz vein networks and confirming structural continuity with known gold zones.
All sampling and analysis followed industry best practices, with stringent quality control procedures. Samples were analyzed using photon assay technology at MSALABS in Bamako, Mali—an independent and internationally certified laboratory.
Martin Pawlitschek, President and CEO, stated: “We are highly encouraged by the latest trenching results and geophysical data, which highlight a well-structured gold-bearing trend extending over 1 km. This information allows us to strategically focus our drilling program on high-priority targets with significant potential.”
