Royal Road Minerals receives drilling permits for Alouana project

Royal Road Minerals Limited has received all necessary drilling permits for its Alouana copper-gold polymetallic project in Morocco.
The project, held by Royal Road Arabia Limited (RRA), a joint venture equally owned by Royal Road and MIDU Company Limited, spans four exploration licenses totaling 84 square kilometers in Morocco’s Eastern Region. In October 2023, RRA secured an option to acquire 100% of Izughar Resources S.A.R.L, the Moroccan entity holding the project licenses.
Alouana copper-gold polymetallic project
The Alouana copper-gold polymetallic project is situated in Morocco’s Eastern Region, encompassing approximately 84 square kilometers across six exploration licenses. The project area hosts copper, gold, and polymetallic mineralization, including elements such as silver, tungsten, and zinc.
Alouana has a history of small-scale mining from the early 20th century, with around 45 identified underground and opencast workings. These include shallow, southwest-dipping shear and cleavage zones and steep, northeast-dipping vein-breccia bodies. Notably, no prior drilling has been conducted on the project.
The initial drill program will focus on determining the thickness of shallow-dipping mineralization at the Opencast Zone (OPZ) and its lateral extent southwestward at the Hilltop Zone (HTZ). Royal Road’s President and CEO, Tim Coughlin, highlighted that the program aims to explore the full mineralization potential, especially in areas like the East Breccia Zone (EBZ), where concealed historic tunnels indicate copper beyond previously mined veins.
