Resource acquires Mpanda, Mbozi Cu-Au Projects in Tanzania

Resource Mining Corporation Limited has made a significant acquisition, securing a 75% stake in the Mpanda and Mbozi Cu-Au Projects by purchasing the majority of shares in Vancouver Mineral Resources Limited, a Tanzanian company.

The firm’s Executive Chairman Asimwe Kabunga, made the announcement and expressed expressed excitement about the acquisition, emphasizing the potential synergies with their existing Ni-Cu projects. He highlighted the strategic placement of the new projects near major Cu-Au discoveries in Tanzania and the positive results from recent fieldwork. With their in-country knowledge and experienced staff, RMC aims to fully leverage their exploration capabilities to uncover major critical mineral deposits while expanding their exploration base.

 Mpanda and Mbozi Cu-Au Projects

Mpanda and Mbozi Cu-Au Projects are strategically located within the Ubendian Orogenic Belt, known for its multi-element resource potential in western Tanzania. RMC already holds six Ni-Cu project areas within the same belt, indicating a robust portfolio for discovering critical minerals. The Mpanda and Mbozi Cu-Au Projects are particularly promising due to their location in highly prospective areas.

Copper mining in the Mpanda Mineral Field dates back to the 1930s and is ongoing, with the development of the high-grade Singililwa Mine nearby. Similarly, the Mbozi Cu-Au Project, previously explored by BHP, is situated near the Luez Hill high-grade copper project. Preliminary surveys and mapping have already identified significant copper anomalies within geological units conducive to mineralization.
