Newcore Gold release test results from Enchi gold project in Ghana

Newcore Gold has announced column tests results from Enchi gold project in Ghana. Greg Smith, VP Exploration of Newcore stated that the firm achieved an average gold recovery rate of 91.7% from the column test work. This is an encouraging result, indicating the potential for efficient gold extraction at the Enchi gold project.
Tests results
The column tests which conducted on composite samples from both the Sewum Gold Deposit and the Boin Gold Deposit, returned gold recovery rates within a range of 88.4% to 95.6%. The test work further advanced the understanding of processing options for the Enchi gold project. The samples used in the tests were representative of oxide mineralization from trenches. The crush size used in testing was in line with the modeled crush size for heap leach processing.
Larger-sized samples weighing 30 kg each were used in the columns for testing. The test results showed low reagent consumption, with an average of 1.2 kg/t of cyanide used, along with a 1.3 kg/t lime (hydrated) addition to maintain a pH above 10.5.
Newcore Gold is continuing with additional metallurgical testwork. This includes conducting more column tests on oxide mineralization from the Sewum, Boin, and Nyam gold deposits. A pilot heap bench-scale test is also underway and is expected to be completed in Q4, 2023. Additionally, there is ongoing testing of sulphide mineralization from the Sewum deposit.
These positive results contribute to the de-risking and advancement of the Enchi gold project. Sewum and Boin are highlighted as the two largest deposits within the project, accounting for approximately 73% of the Mineral Resource Estimate.
