Giyani Metals identifies new targets at K.Hill project

Giyani Metals Corp. has made significant progress in advancing its K.Hill Battery-Grade Manganese Project in Botswana, with the identification of new manganese oxide ore targets and the successful renewal of six out of seven prospecting licences in Southern Botswana.

Charles FitzRoy, Giyani’s President and CEO revealed the report and said this development aligns with Giyani’s strategy to expand its production of battery-grade manganese and underscores its close collaboration with the Botswana Ministry of Mines.

Goal

CEO Charles highlighted the company’s commitment to Botswana’s mining sector and the infrastructure that supports its development. The renewal of these licences, combined with the relinquishing of less prospective areas, allows Giyani to concentrate resources on high-potential targets, reinforcing its long-term exploration and production strategy.

These efforts are crucial for Giyani’s flagship K.Hill Project, as the company aims to become a key player in the supply of battery-grade manganese, which is essential for the growing electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage markets. FitzRoy expressed optimism about the company’s ongoing exploration and plans to provide updates to shareholders on future developments.

The K.Hill battery manganese project is being developed to produce high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM). It is expected to be one of the world’s biggest HPMSM projects. The project lies within a 438km² licence area that is part of the Giyani project area, containing several tenements and encompassing 1,960km². The licence area for the K.Hill project is owned by Menzi Battery Metals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Giyani.
