Drilling program set for Nyorinyori, NyoriGreen graphite projects in Tanzania

Marula Mining PLC has initiated a 2,000-meter diamond drilling program at its Nyorinyori and NyoriGreen graphite projects in Tanzania. This is part of the company’s strategy to focus on high-potential assets.
By reallocating resources from the Bagamoyo Graphite Project, Marula demonstrates its commitment to optimizing exploration budgets and targeting areas with promising high-grade and large flake graphite mineralization.
Drilling program
The drilling program, with a budget of $2.44 million, will test 1.20 kilometers of surface graphite mineralization observed in widths up to 120 meters. Sampling results, showing Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) assays ranging from 11.22% to 15.89%, underline the high potential of these projects.
Withdrawal from the Bagamoyo Graphite Project reflects Marula’s emphasis on optimizing its project portfolio. Collaboration with Takela Mining Tanzania Limited and NyoriGreen Mining Limited aligns with the goal of achieving operational milestones, including commencing small-scale open-pit mining by mid-2025.
Trading on AQUIS Stock Exchange and A2X Markets, with aspirations to expand to Kenyan and South African exchanges, reflects Marula’s growth ambitions. The forward-looking approach is based on recent exploration successes and a clear focus on Tanzanian graphite assets.
This development places Marula in a competitive position within the African mining sector, particularly in graphite, a critical material for the green energy transition. The company’s progress and results from the upcoming drilling campaign will likely be pivotal for its growth trajectory and shareholder value.
