Aya Gold & Silver issues results for Zgounder Silver Mine in Morocco

Aya Gold & Silver issues has announced promising high-grade silver drill results from its ongoing exploration program at the Zgounder Silver Mine in Morocco. The latest findings include several high-grade intercepts from drilling conducted in the Central Zone, open pit area, and near the granite contact, reinforcing the potential for resource expansion.
Drilling results
In the Central Zone at the 2,000-meter level, drill hole DZG-SF-24-228 returned 3,794 grams per ton (g/t) of silver (Ag) over 10.0 meters (m), while hole DZG-SF-24-353 intercepted 572 g/t Ag over 13.0m. In the open pit area, significant results include hole ZG-RC-24-413, which yielded 1,001 g/t Ag over 28.0m, including a high-grade interval of 2,787 g/t Ag over 7.0m. Additional open pit intercepts include ZG-RC-24-452 with 1,364 g/t Ag over 14.0m, including 2,433 g/t Ag over 6.0m, and ZG-RC-24-232 with 1,054 g/t Ag over 11.0m, including 2,063 g/t Ag over 5.0m.
Drilling near the granite contact also produced encouraging results. Hole ZG-SF-24-203 intercepted 911 g/t Ag over 10.0m, including an impressive 4,855 g/t Ag over 1.5m. Hole ZG-SF-24-209 returned 1,756 g/t Ag over 4.5m, with a peak value of 6,800 g/t Ag over 1.0m. Hole ZG-SF-24-259 delivered 1,082 g/t Ag over 8.5m, including 2,133 g/t Ag over 2.7m. Notably, hole ZG-SF-25-290 intercepted 823 g/t Ag over 10.0m and 2,055 g/t Ag over 4.5m.
As of now, Aya has completed 2,653 meters of drilling as part of its 2025 exploration program. The company’s President and CEO, Benoit La Salle, highlighted the significance of these results, particularly the high-grade discoveries near the granite contact and the confirmed continuity of mineralization in the open pit area. He expressed confidence in the ongoing exploration strategy, noting that the use of two underground rigs and one reverse circulation (RC) rig will continue to generate valuable data in the coming months.
The current release includes results from 490 drill holes, comprising 27 surface diamond drill holes (DDH), 192 underground DDH, 198 RC holes, and 73 percussion drill holes (T28 and YAK). All core samples, typically one meter in length, are split for analysis. Half is retained for reference, while the other half is sent to African Laboratory for Mining and Environment (Afrilab) in Marrakech for assaying. Samples exceeding 200 g/t Ag are reanalyzed using fire assay for accuracy. David Lalonde, B.Sc., P.Geo, Aya’s Vice-President of Exploration, has reviewed and approved the release in compliance with National Instrument 43-101.
