Aurum Resources announces impressive gold discovery at Boundiali project

Aurum Resources has achieved a significant milestone at its Boundiali project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, with an impressive gold discovery at BD Target 1 (BDT1).

The standout intercept measured 83 metres at 4.87 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, generating a 404-gram-metres outcome — the highest recorded at the project based on the gold grade multiplied by intercept length. This result strengthens the company’s confidence in the potential of BDT1 as a high-grade gold-bearing zone.

Other drilling results at BDT1 have also shown promising outcomes. One hole intersected 0.83 metres at 172.40g/t gold from a shallow depth of 14.82 metres, alongside a broader interval of 53.77 metres at 0.81g/t gold from 55.13 metres, which included a notable 5 metres at 3.40g/t gold. A second hole returned 20.83 metres at 2.63g/t gold from 116.70 metres, featuring 5 metres at 3.25g/t gold and 9 metres at 3.88g/t gold. It also included a separate stretch of 29.44 metres at 1.30g/t gold from 142.56 metres, with highlights of 5 metres at 1.45g/t gold and 7 metres at 2.13g/t gold. A third hole produced 43.50 metres at 1.38g/t gold from 52.50 metres, including 7 metres at 4.71g/t gold and 7 metres at 1.99g/t gold. Additionally, another section measured 13 metres at 1.14g/t gold from 202 metres, with 4 metres at 2.99g/t gold.

At the nearby BDT3 target, all four drilled holes encountered gold, reinforcing the potential of this zone. The best intercept measured 22 metres at 0.59g/t gold from 78 metres, which included 1 metre at 3.77g/t gold. Another significant result showed 9 metres at 1.42g/t gold from 127 metres, with 2 metres at 3.33g/t gold. These consistent results suggest the presence of substantial gold mineralization across the Boundiali project.

Aurum Resources’ managing director, Dr. Caigen Wang, emphasized that the discovery of high-grade zones within broader gold-bearing areas at BDT1 confirms the project’s strong potential. He added that the mineralization remains open, indicating further resource expansion opportunities with ongoing exploration. The Boundiali BD tenement forms part of a 13-kilometre-long, 3-kilometre-wide mineralized corridor. An interim inferred resource of 340,000 ounces has been outlined at BDT1, alongside 440,000 ounces at BD Target 2. Geochemical data suggest that the mineralization could extend southward into the adjacent BST ground and northward into the BN ground.

Aurum is aggressively advancing its exploration efforts, with eight diamond rigs operating at Boundiali. The company aims to complete 100,000 metres of drilling this year and deliver two mineral resource updates to expand the current 1.59-million-ounce estimate. A pre-feasibility study is expected to be finalized by the end of the year. Combined with the separate Napié project, which holds 2.5 million ounces of gold, Aurum is positioned for substantial resource growth in 2025.
