Aton Resources release drilling results at Semna prospect in Egypt

Aton Resources Inc. announced results from its recent reverse circulation percussion drilling at the Semna prospect in Egypt.
: Semna was the primary target of Aton Resources’ recent reverse circulation percussion (RC) drilling program. A total of 21 holes, covering 3,662 meters, were drilled during this program, with preliminary results now available for the first 17 holes. Nine of these holes were specifically targeting the Main Vein zone within the Semna prospect.
Promising results
The preliminary results showed consistent, moderate to high-grade gold mineralization, primarily in the Main Vein zone. A total of 8 out of the 9 holes targeting this zone intersected moderate to high-grade gold mineralization.
Some significant gold intersections were found, including 14.63 g/t Au over a 12-meter interval in hole SMP-016, 29.8 g/t Au over a 4-meter interval in hole SMP-003, 7.03 g/t Au over a 4-meter interval in hole SMP-007, and 6.27 g/t Au over a 4-meter interval in hole SMP-006.
The drilling results indicated that the mineralization along the Main Vein zone appeared to be generally consistent. This is a promising aspect of the discovery. The Main Vein zone’s mineralization is open both along strike and continues at depth beneath the old mine stopes from the early twentieth-century British mine at Semna.
Aton Resources Inc. expressed optimism about the findings, considering Semna as one of the most promising exploration targets on the Abu Marawat Concession. These results not only validate the immediate drilling zone but also indicate strong prospects for the broader concession. The results suggest the potential for the Abu Marawat Concession to host multiple deposits with various mineralization styles, opening up long-term development opportunities.
