Atlantic Lithium issues update on Ewoyaa Lithium Project

Atlantic Lithium Ltd has announced an updated JORC (2012) compliant Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana. The updated MRE reports 36.8 million tonnes at 41.9% feldspar, based on the same geological model that previously identified a resource of 36.8 million tonnes at 1.24% Li₂O as of July 30, 2024.

The feldspar MRE includes; Measured: 3.7 million tonnes at 40.2% feldspar, indicated: 26.1 million tonnes at 42.1% feldspar, and inferred: 7.0 million tonnes at 42.4% feldspar. This resource encompasses all drilled spodumene pegmatites at Ewoyaa and aligns with the project’s 12-year mine plan detailed in the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) released on June 29, 2023. The updated estimate builds upon the maiden feldspar MRE announced on December 12, 2023, which covered approximately the first five years of planned spodumene production.

In addition to feldspar, the MRE identifies quartz and muscovite as potential by-products from spodumene concentrate production. Atlantic Lithium aims to supply feldspar to Ghana’s local ceramics market, supporting industry growth and the broader economy.

CEO Keith Muller expressed confidence in Ewoyaa’s potential as a significant domestic feldspar source, emphasizing plans to integrate life-of-mine feldspar production into future feasibility study revisions and market considerations. This development aligns with Ghana’s expanding mining sector, which has recently identified substantial lithium deposits, positioning the country as a notable player in the global lithium market.
