The acquisition was achieved through direct staking applications, covering a substantial area of about 264 km², via their wholly owned Tanzanian subsidiary, Infinum Uranium Limited. The company conducted an extensive evaluation of geological and geotechnical data, which highlighted the Matemanga project as a high-priority uranium venture with considerable exploration prospects.

Mr. Gino D’Anna, the Managing Director, emphasized that this acquisition aligns with Askari’s clean energy mission by expanding their exploration strategy to include uranium, a valuable and in-demand resource. He also underscored Tanzania’s reputation as a low-risk pro-mining jurisdiction that has been under-explored, positioning Askari favorably for executing impactful and cost-effective exploration campaigns.

Askari Metals Limited aims to expedite applications at the Matemanga Uranium Project in collaboration with local Tanzanian partners. Initial field sampling and radiometric surveying campaigns are planned at the site, with Mr. D’Anna expressing anticipation for providing further updates as the project progresses.

“The Matemanga Uranium Project represents a significant exploration opportunity for Askari as we expand our exploration strategy. I look forward to providing further updates as we progress the project,” said Mr. Gino D’Anna.
