Adavale Resources granted Luhuma Central prospecting license

Adavale Resources, a mining company, has announced that its subsidiary, Adavale Resources Tanzania, has been granted Prospecting Licence PL12350/2023 for an area of 3.74 km2 within the Kabanga Jirani Nickel Project Licence areas.

Luhuma Central

This licence includes the Luhuma Central prospect, which is considered geologically important due to its historical results and its location within the broader Luhuma trend discovered by Adavale. The historical results at Luhuma Central include an intercept of 1.14% nickel over 8.4 meters in massive sulphides. The prospect is fully enclosed within Prospecting Licence PL11692/2021, in which Adavale has earned a majority interest of 65% and has the right to earn up to 100%.

Adavale’s Chairman, Grant Pierce, stated that the company applied for licences based on geological merit rather than just proximity to other deposits. Luhuma Central was recognized as a coveted area with favorable lithologies and demonstrable nickel sulphide mineralization, making it an important part of Adavale’s exploration success.

The timing of the grant for Luhuma Central is opportune as Adavale has recently resumed drilling with a program of approximately 5,000 meters. Luhuma Central will be a significant focus of this drilling program. To assess the potential of Luhuma Central, Adavale plans to twin the historical LUH06 drillhole and utilize Downhole Electromagnetics and audio magnetotelluric surveys. The company will also consider step-out drilling to determine the extent and orientation of the mineralization. Overall, the granting of Prospecting Licence PL12350/2023 for Luhuma Central is seen as a positive development for Adavale Resources and its exploration efforts in the Kabanga Jirani Nickel Project.
